More of who I really am

A couple of months later, I was able to post more looks at Lookbook.nu, and I am really happy that it turned out pretty well. As I review some of the activities to look forward to as a member, I begin to realize that to be able to be known and appreciated more, you must interact with the other members as well and to be able to share them things they would want to see from you. It's not about imitating top members to become popular, but to be able to stamp a favorable impression to your same fashion enthusiasts.

I've decided to post more looks, to grant fans' requests. I am always excited when it comes to posting because I love the way they comment on my looks. It was pretty amazing in a sense that they really look to every piece you're wearing. You are able to improve and develop yourself more because you will realize that you have something to show, in a good way. Hence, they are not judgmental or bad. They see your real essence.

Moving forward to showing my daily style, I guess I haven't worn all of my pieces yet, which drives me crazy sometimes because right at this point, I'm already having a hard time mixing and matching all of my pieces due to its huge count. In that case, I've decided to give away those ones to my colleagues, even though I love all of them, I believe that it's more of a charity thing. It's better to give than to receive.

My eleventh look...
I was inspired by some Hollywood stars in this look since during their casual days, they tend to wear clothes that are very comfortable to their skin. With this tropical weather, I can say that you can see me walking more like this.

My twelfth look...
The blouse I was wearing in this picture is actually one of the clothes my mom and I are selling last summer. I tried to wear it for advertising purposes and gladly, I was able to sell it!

My thirteenth look...
The shirt and the bag I was wearing are gifts from my very generous aunt, since she really adores me for being fashionable even when I was still a kid, and I am totally grateful for that matter.

My fourteenth look...
In here, I've decided to curl my hair like a natural hair-do, since I would like to step it up a little bit on my usual hairstyle. I hope it really worked, hahaha!

My fifteenth look...
The boots I was wearing are actually my sister's. I've decided to borrow it from her to add coldness to my look. It's because I was inspired with how I was able to live far from my family, only by myself, and I am so happy I was able to survive well.

My sixteenth look...
The shoes are actually my mom's, another borrowed piece, hahaha! I was really fascinated by how it looked, so unique in a sense that I wasn't able to recognize that it's actually Keds' Vintage Edition! I got jealous, I wish I had them!

My seventeenth look...
The shirt I was wearing in this look is already seven years in my closet, and I wasn't able to give it to someone else, since it has a sentimental value. Yet, it's my first expensive shirt when I was still young, glad that it still fits me until now, looks really nice. F.Y.I., the bag I was holding actually has bottle caps, for real.

My eighteenth look...
I was inspired by a fashion enthusiast in this look as I've decided to wear a bow over my polo shirt. It turned out to be really cute, even I wasn't expecting that, hahaha! Thanks for that inspiration, really awesome, made me feel even younger and new.

My nineteenth look...
I've planned to experiment with neon using different colors of nail polish applied on my both hands and feet. It felt great that everyone appreciated it so much. It added some spice to my breezy look.

My twentieth look...
The dress I was wearing in this look is actually given by my cousin, my huge fan, hahaha. She always supports me in every step of the way I go along the fashion industry. I am very thankful to have her because she had given me the strength and confidence I needed to just continue what I've always wanted. In that case, I was able to reach where I am right now, and I will continue to go beyond my passion as long as I live, love and laugh...

In this complicated world, don't take things that serious. It's all about enjoying every taste of what God had given to us. Being a fashion enthusiast is really a big thing. But then, even though I am a vagabond, I still believe that it is not a hindrance to what you love to do. What matters is that you are able to find the happiness everyone deserves to have. For as long as you are sincere in every step of the way, dedication is the real deal...

A bit of change

As my journey goes on being a member of Lookbook.nu, I'm always in an idea of showing the other side of me. Before, I was really a naive when it comes to keeping myself as organized as possible. I don't even care if I look good or not, for as long as I am wearing something comfortable, that's it. Kind of funny because I am lazy to choose what I would want to wear when I started studying in high school level. I don't know why it suddenly happened because when I was still in my preschool and elementary years, I won't go out of the house without me wearing my accessories and other pieces all in the same color.

Having a nice picture will really make a good impression when it comes to having a public profile over the internet. It is because through this, you are able to get recognized by many people and would want to keep in touch with you in any way and can also be inclined with what you love to do. Yet, people who love to explore the world of internet would want to get to know other people not only with their work but as well as their real identity.

After ten looks, I've decided to change my profile picture not because I want to be known more, but to show the other side of me, what I can offer more, and how I will able to express myself in different ways to inspire, impress, and go beyond my usual limits. As the saying goes, the more you share, the more you'll be able to tell the world of how dedicated you are in what you do. You just don't like it, but you LOVE it.

My second profile picture...

This is a glimpse of one of my looks, which I haven't posted yet. I've decided to let my hair down to show some sexy waves and a touch of burgundy color to add drama to my usual plain black hair. I personally did my own make-up, which is actually a bit of my expertise, since I was able to study personality development when I was still in College. I am responsible for all the make-up I am wearing in all of my photo shoots so as to showcase the softer side of me.

In order for you to be you all the time, just do what you love and what you always wanted so as to be able to express yourself more that what you can ever imagine. Life goes on, keep moving forward...

My first TEN looks at LOOKBOOK.nu

I started posting pictures of my own sense of style to be able to show who I really am as a fashion lover. Mixing and matching is really my thing, and it makes me feel complete in a day. At 18 years old, I was able to pose, at least, in a simple way just to let them know that I feel comfortable in what I am wearing.

For me, it doesn't matter if you are rich or have the "looks". It's about how you carry every piece you are wearing. People must see how I would want them to be inspired of me as well as to be able to try what they've always wanted. I hope this would help.

My first look...
This photo was taken when I was still studying in a colder place here in the Philippines. I always love wearing this pleated skirt because it's was made by my Mom.

My second look...
This look is inspired by my Aunt who always loves wearing polo shirts and this was given by her actually.

My third look...
This look is just about summer being breezy and fun at the same time. The pieces are light and flowy and are comfortable enough to wear.

My fourth look...
This is a Korean-inspired look because I am a huge fan of my Korean classmate in Accounting before in terms of her fashion sense. I hope I did well on this.

My fifth look...
This look is just about being comfortable during sunny days.

My sixth look...
I always love white pieces to mix in my daily style file since it always makes me feel fresh and young.

My seventh look...
This look represents how I was inspired by Lookbook. As a member, I've realized that my style has continued to grow.

My eighth look...
The top I was wearing is one of my favorite tops because it has a lovely color that really complements my skin.

My ninth look...
I love wearing this polo-dress since it's very easy to manage in casual days like this. You can just move around freely.

My tenth look...
This look was cowgirl-inspired that I'm usually fond of wearing when I was still living in a colder place. It's so sexy and fun at the same time.

Always remember, if you're afraid to show them what you've got to offer in the fashion world, you haven't come out of your shell yet. Think about the beauty that life brings. We will only live for a short time so don't waste every single day without learning how to embrace and value yourself. It's how you enjoy!

Behind my LOOKBOOK account

It's been two and a half years since I created my Lookbook account. Honestly, I felt a bit hesitation at first because I know that there are so many famous fashion enthusiasts who post their looks every single day. It's like they already have everything and nothing to worry about so I really have to struggle to be able to become something I've always dreamed of. I know that they've also been to where I am right now, that's why I just feel passionate in sharing what I can in this big world, because I believe that in order for you to achieve something you want, hard work is definitely the key.

At first, I don't know how to start. It went to that point where I have to browse every fashion magazine so that I will be having an enough idea on how to express myself as a lover of fashion. As a vagabond, it's quite hard since I only have limited stuff to wear. But then, I've came up to a wiser move that I will always adore in myself.

I have a cousin who also loves fashion in a different way. Being the closest ones, I've decided to get her as my photographer for the meantime. At first, it's weird since we are doing it for the first time. It's because in our place, fashion is way too many for their eyes. It didn't made me forget my fashion life after all because I've always dreamed of this even when I was still a kid.

I made every shot a piece of what my taste really is. I don't care if they love it or not. I just want to show them that I can be an inspiration to look forward to, at least, to their own preference. It's all about being you, that's how I see myself as I go beyond this. Never planned.

Here is a shot of me and my cousin taken behind the scenes...
She is the one responsible for taking my photos. I used to be the one editing them so we really work together to achieve what we really love...

To be able to be known, all you have to do is have your profile picture as nice as possible, and post looks that are really you, either on trend or not. It always depend on how you showcase the real you. For as long as you are feeling comfortable in showing it, why not!

My first profile picture...
I was just 18 years old when I started posing my style to every way possible. This photo is a glimpse of one of my first ten looks, ninth look to be exact.

It's not about having expensive and bunch of clothing, bags, shoes, accessories, etc. It's how you will handle them in your own way that will truly inspire everyone who love the free way of fashion...

Light beyond simplicity

Last post for the bunch and I’m currently in the process of conducting a contest but unfortunately, I can’t tell you what it is. Just wait for me to post it here. But then, let’s just talk about my new post, which is all about simplicity. It’s only a matter of sketching with the background as its colour. Meaning, you are making the drawing in a coloured paper by which all you have to do is use a sign pen in order for it to be seen clearly. I’m so excited for everyone to see what I’ve done since it’s already been a long time you have read my previous post. I have to apologize for that because I’m very busy studying a new course. Anyways, what I’ll be featuring are some designs that I personally made. They are street wear, mostly since I really love being comfortable to what you’re wearing in a daily basis. Yet, I can say that it is more pleasing to the eye when you clearly knew that your designs contribute to your own taste. In that case, you are able to share your personal style to all enthusiasts who are definitely willing to try everything not only for fashion but for fun as well.
When I was still at a young age, being a student is really fun because you get to have a lot of things inside your bag, most commonly- colours! I have it in pens, pencils, and the wax itself. I am fond of using them in my paper, wherein there was also a time I’ve noticed that there’s nothing left in my whole pad already. My mom scolded me, not only once, because I’m really used to consuming all my papers and notebooks just for me to be able to draw what I usually see in my surroundings. It was really fun since it came to that point where I already make holiday cards for my classmates to give it to their loved ones. I sell them for three cents, and they really loved it in a sense that my teacher even asked me to make one as a decoration in our classroom. Every time I remember all of these, I just had tears of joy because I can’t believe that I will already be to where I am right now, a permanent fashion illustrator.
For now, enjoy looking at my fresh designs just for you not only to be relaxed but be more inspired like you’ve never expected!

Just paint it black!

For you to know, I created all of this because it’s one of my projects in my new course, which is a portfolio. It’s only a part, background to be honest, because I want them to see what truly completes me, who I really am since the folio is all about personality development. Even though it’s just simple, at least the thought is there, for them to realize that efforts do count if it came from the bottom of your heart. Meaning, it has to have hard work in all aspects. In this set, I only used black sign pen because what I want to see is the background colour being reflected in my drawing. I really want to try a more unique effect. What’s the result? See for yourself! ;)

I can’t even imagine myself coming up with this kind of project because as I started doing it, I don’t have any idea that I can finish well enough with my expectations. It’s very clear that I made this only to attract the attention of my teacher as I showcase my talent in sketching. It’s a part of my personality also because I’m the type of person who used to show real emotions through writing. So every time I make my designs, I completely put drama into it. What you see is clearly what I feel at the moment.
It’s just that simple because I want to show you how I create my design by just focusing on its unique construction. As you can see, I only created pieces that are easy to manage because I’m the type of person who not only loves street wear, as well as me as a person who thinks of little things as magical. Right now, I want you to realize that beauty cannot be seen by only breaking down into physical dimensions. It’s all about you with a pure heart that no one can steal.

All I can say is for you to watch out for my upcoming contest regarding Prom! Yes, you’ve read it clearly! Please bear with me as I continue my journey. Always check out this blog so that you’ll be able to know how to join. Feel free to suggest or comment in whatever you may want to that will benefit us all. I’m also open to any private message you may want to consult with me at roselinni_07@yahoo.com .
Look forward to my fashion mayhem at http://lookbook.nu/roselinni or visit my Facebook account for some updates on what to grab at http://www.facebook.com/roselinni. You can also follow me on my twitter account https://twitter.com/roselinnic for us to share some new thoughts on fashion illustration. I’m also connected to Bloglovin and you can follow me there and be updated on my new posts. Don’t forget to leave your comments!
So, everyone can dream! Nothing is impossible. All you have to do is believe in yourself and prove to them that you can do it whatever happens. It’s not just all about having the guts to do it, instead, it’s a matter of willingness to improve and develop what you currently have and be able to inspire people by sharing them with all your heart. Everything can be learned. You just have to widen your perceptive horizon and be able to expand your capabilities by enhancing your strengths in a different level and knowing your limitations is the key. Don’t force yourself to know everything. It can wait. One day you’ll wake up feeling all relaxed, thanking God for all the achievements you’ve had as you go along, realizing that you just started from scratch and never had them before... J

Behind darkness

It’s already been a long time since I’ve had given you my last post for the month of July because I’ve been brainstorming suggestions of my daily viewers. Since this post is the majority for this week, I’ve decided to pursue this skill so as to be unique as I wanted to be since I was a kid. So, what’s up for now? Try to figure out folks! ;)
Before, I was really afraid of the dark. Why? It’s because whenever blackout comes, my mom used to scare us of things that are really weird like ghosts that she knew but actually are not there. Sounds crazy but it’s really her thing. Before, I can’t understand why she always does that. But as I grew older enough, I’ve realized that it’s really a factor in improving oneself in some aspects: confidence to be able to show yourself in front of everything, courage to do anything that will mould you, and most especially, brevity, to be able to try whatever the environment might bring you. In the simplest sense, you must have the drive to take everything as a challenge because these will just be part of your entire journey in pursuing your dreams and aspirations in life. Yet, in order to achieve those, you must have the willingness to do every little thing that is needed.
What will now be the key? Enhancement, of course! Since everyone has a talent, all you have to do is explore those strengths and try to figure out how to develop it step by step because you don’t know where will that skill might bring you. Now, you have to make sure that it will be your main priority since you are still starting to know yourself more that what you’re used to do. In terms of your weaknesses, try to find out how to improve those because you may also need them when it comes to choosing other options in making yourself as unique as ever. Don’t ever worry because you don’t have to pressure yourself to become popular that easily because everything is a game. You just have to play it in accordance with how far would you go and how many would you want to sacrifice for the betterment of yourself. In short, be a symbol of hard work, acceptance, and contentment because these factors will teach you how to be humble and brave enough to show what you’ve come up with as you go along. As they always say, patience is a virtue.
Going back to my new post, it’s just like this. If you love bold and beautiful, then, you may want to ride with me right now! J

It’s black, it’s white!

Honestly, I didn’t have a hard time doing this even though I’m not used to only using one material, which is charcoal. Before, I always thought it was just messy and even hard to manage. But then, as I continue using it for this project, I’ve realized that you just have to love it the way it puts on drama to itself as you stroke it well enough on every drawing you’re about to create. I hope I really did well on this because I’ve granted what you’ve wished for. It’s not just about fashion for now, but it’s how you create drama while doing it in an extraordinary manner. Are you ready? Here it is!

This is what a focused mind had come up. It’s really unbelievable thinking that I made this as I would want it to because I’ve learned how to use it just now. So, I wasn’t expecting that they’ll give a request like this because as I finished it, I’ve noticed that it really looked so unique that I can’t even imagine its fullness even in just using one material. Clearly, my main inspirations were artists who just use black ink in creating their artworks. They’re making art in a different way in a sense that it was expressed dramatically from the past. How cool is that! At first, I thought it won’t work since it’s very hard to control the intensity of the charcoal. Yet, it easily breaks when you stroke it too hard. What I did was just to continue creating it like I was using a pencil and not to over think that I just did it the first time in my entire illustration journey.
As you can see, I still relied on the construction and design of each piece because I want to catch attention since I was just using a boring material, to be honest, but just in terms of its colour. I made it clear to my mind that I have to apply my imagination more than what I usually do because I really want everyone to realize that you can still do everything with charcoal. All you have to do is to extend your dedication with patience to the material in order to achieve not the best that easily but better enough to satisfy your thirsty eyes.
You may also notice that I used a more explorative design starting from the top down to the knees of every model. It’s because I want to be more expressive this time since I am a huge fan of patterns. To create such, I just think of myself wearing it with a proud soul. The models are not that looking great, right? It’s because I want to send a message to the world that no matter what you look like in terms of physical aspect, you are not excluded in the world of fashion. It is an art for everyone. Whether you’re rich or poor, you can be a model of trend through your own sense of style. I do hope I stand correctly on that.
In terms of its individual style, I based it on the old times when people were used to wearing quite long skirts and garments with unusual prints since they don’t want to catch attention to their body but to what they wear the most. Since we are now in the situation of being “westernized”, I want it to be more modern by applying styles for today’s world. I already made rompers and leggings with unusual looks. Isn’t it that great when you already see yourself growing in this present world that is competitive enough in the fashion industry because many enthusiasts were starting to catch more attention in terms of their own sense of style? That’s why we have to embrace ourselves in carrying every piece well to not look like “trying hard” enough in order to achieve a sense of belongingness.

It really doesn’t matter whether some may not like it, for as long as you’re living in what you believe was right for you and feeling good wearing or bringing that kind of style; you are a symbol of fashion mayhem. Just wait and you’ll see that more people we’ll be starting to appreciate your interpretation of the uniqueness of art in a sensible way. At least you are truly aware that you carry it because you want to be an inspiration to everyone, not in just showing yourself in order to become popular. In short, you are just doing this for your own benefit. Don’t be so mean and desperate of doing such. You may be the master of style, but how can you be a meaningful symbol if you, yourself is not aware of having discipline when you’re about to show it confidently? Meaning, you are being too liberated that you already annoy people in what you look like which is already inappropriate to taste. That’s why in the styling world, you also have to make sure that you don’t just apply what you think is good on you. Instead, you must also think of the consequences of that act you’re about to make.
Black is really edgy when it comes to wearing it. You just have to choose what fits you especially if you’re thin; choose black pieces that will flaunt your figure, and not making you thinner. In that case, everyone is welcome to try it, but with confidence and proud. I hope I’ve given you even just a little help in raising your brevity in trying what I’ve brought you because I want you to experience “extreme happiness” when you achieve something you never had before and accomplishing it in an extraordinary way. You’ll gain more when you least expect it.
By the way, I’m actually planning to create another blog but I’m not yet sure what will be its main topic. My idea is that it will not just be about art anymore but in my fashion statement already. I knew a lot of things when it comes to accessories, nails, shoes, bags and other statement pieces that make fashion life more alive but I would want to see your thoughts too regarding this matter. What do you think? Do I have to cover it all, or just focus on one topic? If yes, then, what will be the most suited for my case? Post some comments here so that I’ll be able to know where and when will I start. Please bear with me because I would really want people to know how grateful I am entering in this blogging world and how happy I am in knowing that I inspire people that much. As I move forward to this journey, I’m still open to things I have to learn and I will be learning sooner as I take each step that is needed in achieving my dreams, always.
